hi there, i'm sam!
I’m a designer and illustrator from Southern California. I’m currently finishing up a degree in Art and Design from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. When I’m not wrangling InDesign files, you can find me trying to teach myself guitar, cuddling my cat, or handing out romance novel recommendations to anyone who will listen!
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. My first love was painting, but I found a knack for graphic design in 2020 when I could no longer take in-person studio art classes. As soon as I took my first graphic design course, I couldn’t get enough of it. I first found my love of editorial design while serving as Art Editor and a graphic designer for my community college’s award-winning art and literature journal, WALL. While editorial design, concept art, and illustration are my favorite things to work on, I love having a “finger in every pie” of art & design. I’m passionate about using design as a way to solve problems and make the world more accessible for everyone.
