hi there, i'm sam!
I’m a designer and illustrator born and raised in sunny Southern California! I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art and Design with a concentration in Graphic Design.
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember, and my background in studio art gives me a unique approach to my design and illustration work. What I love most about design is the ability to problem-solve and tell stories through the things I create. Some of my favorite projects have been serving as Art Editor and graphic designer for the award-winning literary journal, WALL, creating an original app design in 24 hours that made it into the finals of SLO UXfest, and illustrating a children’s book for a central coast non-profit animal rescue.
When I’m not busy wrangling Photoshop files, my free time consists of cuddling my cat, enjoying the beautiful beaches and hiking trails in my home state, buying overpriced coffee, painting, learning to play my favorite songs on guitar, and handing out book recommendations to anyone who will listen.
